Thirty-four members gathered for a Holiday Party at the home of Jerry and Suzette Paduano. Their beautiful home was decorated to the nth degree in Christmassy tinsel and red and green. I am happy to report that not one ugly Christmas sweater was in evidence. Replacing our usual 15 minute lesson was a table groaning with hors d’oeuvres The program of the evening was a sumptuous potluck feast and much socializing. Each member received a gift of donated items. See photos of the festivities on the photo page.
Next meeting’s project is panning, or photographing a moving object. We will hear some book reviews and a panel will field questions from the membership. See you there!

Project Time Assignments

Most months, members are invited to send a digital photo for the Project portion of the evening; from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. The picture content changes from month to month. Photos are to be emailed to jasphoto@mail.com, sent by 12:00pm the Wednesday before the meeting. They should be 1000 pixels on the long side.

If you plan to participate, please arrive a little before 6:30.
You will be asked to introduce your photo, explain what you like about it and what you would like to see improved.
The previous presenter will then offer feedback on the image. We ask that the format be one positive, one negative and a final positive. Please keep the changes to the camera settings when possible. Members are urged to give honest feedback. This is how we learn.
We give these projects out to teach you ways to take pictures and to get you out there taking pictures. This is how we learn our cameras.

Photos for Peer Review are to be taken between meetings unless otherwise specified. In other words, your submission for any given meeting should have been taken during the one month prior to that meeting and have nature content!
